Patient ComfortWe Go The Extra Mile For Our PatientsFear is without doubt the greatest barrier to patients seeking dental treatment. Whether it is due to bad past dental experiences, fear of the unknown, or concern that pain may still be felt even if numbed...we take these fears very seriously. Modern local anesthics and techniques that are used for numbing are adequete for most patients and proceedures. It is our policy, however, that if a patient is still having any discomfort or requires a break...that the work will be stopped immediatly and comfort will be addressed first and foremost. Sedation dentistry is available when local anesthesia is not enough. In our office we use the safest protocols for use of orally taken sedatives. Our patients are able to talk and respond verbally, but very often report that the appointment seemed as if it took only minutes and that they had little recollection of it. When necessary, we have on call a highly trained nurse anesthetist to administed IV sedation. It is always our goal to make patient care as comfortable as possible.
